Ricardo Santos and his family have been involved in wine making for over 40 years. Cuchillas De Lunlunta is the name given to his latest and very successful venture that began in 1995.
He has made many contributions to the Argentine wine industry and was the first person to export a 100% Malbec wine, from Argentina to the US in 1972 when his family owned one of the largest wineries in Argentina.
The winery and vineyard are located in Maipu, Mendoza. It is a small family owned and run business under the direction of Ricardo, who believes that the Malbec is the grape that will define Argentina "so why make anything else".
The wine maker and vineyard manager at Cuchillas De Lunlunta is Ricardo's son Patricio Santos.
This boutique winery only produces the one high quality and hand crafted wine. It's Malbec.
